Nguyên tắc chung: chọn substitute cùng family hoặc family kế cận trên scent wheel. Khi có thể, dùng 2 oil cộng lại để mô phỏng — một oil hiếm khi thay được trọn vẹn bằng một oil khác.
Sometimes the needed oil isn't available — out of stock, too expensive, trade-restricted, or unsuitable for the intended use. The table below lists common substitutions with the underlying reason and practical notes.
General rule: pick a substitute from the same family or an adjacent family on the scent wheel. When possible, combine two oils to approximate — a rare oil is seldom replaced by a single alternative.
