Cistus ladanifer là cây bụi nhỏ vùng Địa Trung Hải. Lá tiết nhựa thơm gọi là labdanum.
Resin được thu bằng cách quét chải lá khô hoặc đun lá tươi trong nước. Sau đó dung môi tách ra concrete và absolute.
Họ Cistaceae. Tây Ban Nha là nguồn sản xuất chính.
Cistus ladanifer is a Mediterranean shrub. The leaves secrete an aromatic resin called labdanum.
Resin is collected by brushing dried leaves or boiling fresh leaves in water. Solvent extraction then yields concrete and absolute.
Family Cistaceae. Spain is the principal source.
Labdanum có mùi ấm, balsamic, hổ phách. Dùng trong nước hoa cổ điển làm note base.

Labdanum has a warm, balsamic, amber character. Used as a base note in classical perfumery.
