Chypre da thuộc là nhánh D4 trong bảng SFP. Nhánh này đặt nốt da khô, khói hoặc đắng lên khung Chypre gồm bergamot, hoa, rêu sồi, labdanum và hoắc hương. Labdanum vốn đã có sắc da, nên Chypre chuyển sang hướng da khá tự nhiên.
Nhánh này giáp với họ G Da thuộc. Khác biệt nằm ở phần đáy: Chypre da thuộc vẫn giữ rêu sồi và độ đắng ẩm của Chypre, còn họ Da thuộc lấy khói, nhựa và thuốc lá làm trục.
Leather Chypre is subfamily D4 in the SFP table. It places a dry, smoky or bitter leather note on the Chypre frame of bergamot, flowers, oakmoss, labdanum and patchouli. Labdanum already has a leathery facet, so the move towards leather is a natural one.
The branch borders family G Leather. The difference lies in the base: a leather Chypre keeps oakmoss and the damp bitterness of Chypre, while the Leather family takes smoke, resin and tobacco as its axis.

Tầng giữa thường là hoa nhài, hoa hồng, iris hoặc hoa huệ, làm mềm độ gắt của da. Tầng đầu có khi thêm galbanum hoặc artemisia cho độ sắc.
Theo tiêu chuẩn IFRA, dầu bạch dương và dầu cade chỉ được dùng ở dạng tinh chế, với giới hạn PAH trong thành phẩm. Rêu sồi phải là loại giảm atranol theo Quy chế (EU) 2017/1410.

Sources of the leather note include isobutyl quinoline (a synthetic with a bitter leather odour), rectified birch tar (smoke), styrax (a slightly rubbery resin) and castoreum or its substitutes. In 1944 Germaine Cellier composed Bandit for Robert Piguet with isobutyl quinoline at a very high dose; Auparfum calls it the first leather Chypre. In 1959 Bernard Chant composed Cabochard for Grès, a leather Chypre with ionone and patchouli facets.
The heart is usually jasmine, rose, orris or tuberose, which soften the harshness of the leather. The top sometimes adds galbanum or artemisia for sharpness.
Under the IFRA Standards, birch tar and cade oil may be used only in rectified form, with PAH limits in the finished product. Oakmoss must be low-atranol under Regulation (EU) 2017/1410.
The SFP website publishes only subfamily names; perfume lists per subfamily are in the printed Classification officielle des parfums. Perfumes named here are commonly cited examples, not official SFP placements.

Phiên bản tự nhiên có thể dùng labdanum làm cầu nối giữa Chypre và da, thêm một lượng rất nhỏ dầu bạch dương tinh chế cho khói, styrax cho nhựa. Rêu sồi giảm atranol và hoắc hương giữ khung Chypre.
Độ đắng khô của isobutyl quinoline không có nguồn tự nhiên tương đương. Dầu hắc ín phải tuân theo giới hạn PAH của IFRA. Trang này không đưa tỷ lệ công thức.
A natural version can use labdanum as the bridge between Chypre and leather, with a very small amount of rectified birch tar for smoke and styrax for resin. Low-atranol oakmoss and patchouli keep the Chypre frame.
The dry bitterness of isobutyl quinoline has no natural equivalent. Tar oils must meet IFRA PAH limits. This page gives no formula percentages.
