Citrus reticulata là cây cam quýt nhỏ, quả vàng cam. Tên gọi 'mandarin' và 'tangerine' đôi khi dùng thay nhau, dù tangerine theo nghĩa kỹ thuật là một cultivar của Citrus reticulata.
Sản xuất chính Italy (Sicily), Tây Ban Nha, Trung Quốc, Brazil. Việt Nam cũng trồng mandarin nhưng chủ yếu cho ăn tươi.
