Cam chanh hoa chypre là nhánh A4 của họ Hespéridé trong bảng SFP. Cam chanh vẫn là chủ đề chính, nhưng bên dưới có một tầng hoa rõ và một nền kiểu Chypre: rêu sồi, hoắc hương, vetiver.
Khác với họ Chypre, ở A4 phần đầu tươi chiếm nhiều chỗ nhất và mùi hương đọc như một nước cam chanh. Nền rêu chỉ giữ và làm khô cảm giác tươi đó.
Floral Chypre Citrus is subfamily A4 of the Hesperidic family in the SFP table. Citrus remains the main theme, but below it sits a clear floral layer and a Chypre-like base: oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver.
Unlike the Chypre family, in A4 the fresh top takes the most space and the scent reads as a citrus water. The mossy base only anchors and dries that freshness.
Hai chai thường được nhắc cho kiểu này ra đời gần nhau. Eau de Rochas (1970) do Nicolas Mamounas sáng tác: nhiều loại cam chanh ở đầu, hoa hồng, hoa nhài, cẩm chướng ở giữa, rêu sồi và hoắc hương ở đáy. Diorella (1972) của Edmond Roudnitska cho Dior thêm nốt dưa và đào vào khung chanh, húng quế, rêu sồi.
Tầng hoa thường là hoa nhài, hoa hồng, neroli; hedione hay dùng để hoa có cảm giác trong. Nền rêu sồi cho độ đắng, hơi mặn; hoắc hương cho độ đất và gỗ.
Quy định cần lưu ý: rêu sồi dùng hiện nay phải là loại giảm atranol theo Quy chế (EU) 2017/1410 và tiêu chuẩn IFRA; tinh dầu cam chanh ép lạnh như bergamot, chanh ép, bưởi chịu giới hạn quang độc của IFRA trong sản phẩm lưu trên da; bergamot FCF và chanh chưng cất chứa ít furocoumarin hơn nhiều. Dầu vỏ bergamot, dầu vỏ chanh, dầu hoắc hương, dầu và chiết xuất hoa hồng, hoa nhài có tên trong danh sách dị ứng mở rộng của Quy chế (EU) 2023/1545.

Two perfumes often cited for this style appeared close together. Eau de Rochas (1970) was composed by Nicolas Mamounas: several citrus notes at the top, rose, jasmine and carnation in the heart, oakmoss and patchouli in the base. Diorella (1972), by Edmond Roudnitska for Dior, added melon and peach to a lemon, basil and oakmoss frame.
The floral layer is usually jasmine, rose and neroli; Hedione is often used to make the flowers feel transparent. The oakmoss base gives bitterness and a slightly salty note; patchouli gives earth and wood.
Rules to note: oakmoss used today must be a low-atranol grade under Regulation (EU) 2017/1410 and the IFRA Standard; cold-pressed citrus oils such as bergamot, expressed lemon and grapefruit are under IFRA phototoxicity limits in leave-on products; FCF bergamot and distilled lime contain far less furocoumarin. Bergamot peel oil, lemon peel oil, patchouli oil, and rose and jasmine oils and extracts are named on the expanded allergen list of Regulation (EU) 2023/1545.

A4 is the bridge between the Hesperidic and Chypre families. When moss and labdanum grow stronger, the scent moves to D1 Chypre or D7 Floral Chypre.

A natural version is easy to build: FCF bergamot, lemon, mandarin and grapefruit at the top; neroli, jasmine and rose in the heart; low-atranol oakmoss, patchouli and vetiver in the base.
The balance between top and base decides whether the scent stays citrus or becomes Chypre. Neroli and petitgrain help link citrus to flowers. Check IFRA limits and the EU allergen list for each material. This page gives no formula percentages.
