Tương tác thuốc. Có thể chứa methyleugenol. Có thể ức chế đông máu. Độc bào thai. Nhạy ứng da và niêm mạc rủi ro trung bình.
Đường uống: pethidine, MAOI, SSRI, thuốc chống đông, trước phẫu thuật lớn, loét dạ dày tá tràng, máu khó đông.
Dermal: tránh trên da nhạy cảm, da tổn thương, trẻ dưới 2 tuổi.
Nồng độ tối đa trên da 0.5 phần trăm dựa trên 96.9 phần trăm eugenol và ngưỡng dermal 0.5 phần trăm.
Đã có 3 ca ngộ độc uống ở trẻ em (uống 5 đến 10 mL), gây nhiễm toan, suy gan, hôn mê. Không có ca tử vong nhưng cận tử.
Tiếp xúc da với clove oil chưa pha loãng thường gây cảm giác bỏng và đôi khi phồng rộp.
Drug interactions. May contain methyleugenol. May inhibit blood clotting. Embryotoxic. Moderate risk of skin and mucous membrane sensitization.
Oral: pethidine, MAOIs, SSRIs, anticoagulant medication, before major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophilia.
Dermal: avoid on hypersensitive, diseased or damaged skin, and on children under 2 years.
Maximum dermal use level 0.5 percent based on 96.9 percent eugenol and a dermal limit of 0.5 percent.
Three reports of oral poisoning in children (5 to 10 mL ingested) caused acidosis, liver failure, coma. No deaths but near-fatal.
Skin contact with undiluted clove oil frequently produces a burning sensation and occasional blistering.

Syzygium aromaticum là cây thân gỗ đặc hữu quần đảo Maluku, Indonesia. Nụ hoa khô là loại gia vị clove dùng trong ẩm thực toàn cầu.
Sản xuất chính tại Indonesia, Madagascar và Tanzania. Indonesia tiêu thụ phần lớn cho thuốc lá kretek địa phương.
Họ Myrtaceae. Trong số ba loại clove oil (bud, leaf, stem), bud có giá cao nhất và mùi tinh tế nhất.
Syzygium aromaticum is a tree native to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia. The dried flower buds are the spice clove used in cuisine worldwide.
Main production in Indonesia, Madagascar and Tanzania. Indonesia consumes much of its output for local kretek cigarettes.
Family Myrtaceae. Among the three clove oils (bud, leaf, stem), bud is the highest-priced and most refined in aroma.
