Tương tác thuốc. Có thể ức chế đông máu. Độc bào thai. Nhạy ứng da và niêm mạc rủi ro trung bình.
Đường uống: pethidine, MAOI, SSRI, thuốc chống đông, trước phẫu thuật lớn, loét dạ dày tá tràng, máu khó đông.
Dermal: tránh trên da nhạy cảm, da tổn thương, trẻ dưới 2 tuổi.
Nồng độ tối đa trên da 0.6 phần trăm dựa trên 88 phần trăm eugenol và ngưỡng dermal 0.5 phần trăm.
Clove leaf oil rẻ hơn bud đáng kể nhưng mùi thô hơn. Trong perfumery thường được dùng cô lập eugenol.
Drug interactions. May inhibit blood clotting. Embryotoxic. Moderate risk of skin and mucous membrane sensitization.
Oral: pethidine, MAOIs, SSRIs, anticoagulant medication, before major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophilia.
Dermal: avoid on hypersensitive, diseased or damaged skin, and on children under 2 years.
Maximum dermal use level 0.6 percent based on 88 percent eugenol and a dermal limit of 0.5 percent.
Clove leaf oil is significantly cheaper than bud but has a coarser aroma. In perfumery often used for eugenol isolation.

Cùng cây Syzygium aromaticum như clove bud, nhưng cất từ lá. Mùi đậm, nóng, ít fine hơn bud.
Sản xuất chính tại Madagascar và Indonesia. Clove leaf oil chủ yếu dùng làm nguồn eugenol công nghiệp.
