Có thể chứa estragole và methyleugenol. Có khả năng ức chế đông máu vì eugenol cao. Nhạy ứng da rủi ro thấp. Kích ứng niêm mạc rủi ro thấp.

Đường uống: thận trọng với pethidine, MAOI, SSRI. Tránh khi dùng thuốc chống đông, trước phẫu thuật lớn, loét dạ dày tá tràng, máu khó đông.

Liều uống tối đa người lớn 50 mg mỗi ngày.

Nồng độ tối đa trên da 0.9 phần trăm, dựa trên hàm lượng eugenol và ngưỡng dermal 0.5 phần trăm. Methyleugenol có mặt 0, 1.4 phần trăm cần giới hạn riêng.

May contain estragole and methyleugenol. May inhibit blood clotting due to high eugenol. Low risk of skin sensitization. Low risk of mucous membrane irritation.

Oral: caution with pethidine, MAOIs, SSRIs. Avoid with anticoagulant medication, before major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophilia.

Maximum adult oral dose 50 mg daily.

Maximum dermal use level 0.9 percent, based on eugenol content and a dermal limit of 0.5 percent. Methyleugenol present at 0, 1.4 percent requires its own limit.

Pimenta racemosa là cây thân gỗ vùng Caribbean, đặc biệt Dominica. Lá được chưng cất bằng nước.

Tinh dầu sau chưng cất tách thành hai phần, một nhẹ hơn nước và một nặng hơn. Hai phần được kết hợp lại để có tinh dầu thương mại.

Có ba chemotype của var. racemosa: clove (eugenol), lemon (citral), và anise (estragole/methyleugenol). Chỉ chemotype eugenol được sản xuất thương mại.

Không nhầm với laurel leaf oil (Laurus nobilis), cũng được gọi là bay leaf.

Pimenta racemosa is a tree native to the Caribbean, particularly Dominica. The leaves are hydro-distilled.

After distillation the oil separates into two fractions, one lighter and one heavier than water. The two fractions are recombined to form the commercial oil.

Three chemotypes of var. racemosa exist: clove (eugenol), lemon (citral), and anise (estragole/methyleugenol). Only the eugenol chemotype is commercially produced.

Not to be confused with laurel leaf oil (Laurus nobilis), which is also called bay leaf.

Hàm lượng methyleugenol biến động lớn giữa các vùng. Bảng phân tích Dominica 1991 không phát hiện methyleugenol; Guadaloupe 1995 phát hiện 1.4 phần trăm; Jamaica 2007 phát hiện 1.02 phần trăm. Yêu cầu chứng chỉ phân tích chi tiết từ nhà cung cấp.

Methyleugenol content varies significantly by region. Dominica analysis in 1991 found none; Guadaloupe in 1995 found 1.4 percent; Jamaica in 2007 found 1.02 percent. Request a detailed certificate of analysis from the supplier.
