Cupressus sempervirens là cây thân gỗ cao thẳng vùng Địa Trung Hải, hình dáng đặc trưng của vùng quê Toscana. Tinh dầu chủ yếu cất tại Pháp và Tây Ban Nha.
Họ Cupressaceae. Cùng họ với juniper và Texan/Virginian cedarwood.
Trong y học truyền thống Hi Lạp và La Mã, cypress được dùng cho rối loạn tuần hoàn, một tập tục đến giờ vẫn được phản ánh trong aromatherapy đương đại.
Cupressus sempervirens is the tall, columnar cypress of the Mediterranean, the iconic form of the Tuscan countryside. The oil is mainly distilled in France and Spain.
Family Cupressaceae. Same family as juniper and Texan/Virginian cedarwoods.
In Greek and Roman traditional medicine, cypress was used for circulatory disorders, a use still reflected in contemporary aromatherapy.
