Sabinene là monoterpene hydrocarbon phổ biến trong nhục đậu khấu, ngổ, juniperberry và các tinh dầu khác. Dữ liệu trực tiếp hạn chế, nhưng thử nghiệm sinh sản không phát hiện tác dụng phụ.
Sinh sản. Chuột, chuột nhắt và hamster mang thai cho ăn sabinene tới 105, 224 và 240 mg/kg/ngày trong giai đoạn quan trọng của thai kỳ không có tác dụng phụ trên thai và mẹ. Sabinene được đưa vào dưới dạng hỗn hợp với α-pinene và β-pinene.
Sabinene is a widespread monoterpene hydrocarbon in nutmeg, savin, juniperberry and other oils. Direct data are limited, but reproductive testing detected no adverse effects.
Reproductive. Pregnant rats, mice and hamsters given sabinene at up to 105, 224 and 240 mg/kg/day during critical gestational windows showed no adverse effects on offspring or maternal survival. Sabinene was administered as part of a mixture with α-pinene and β-pinene.

Sabinene mang nét gỗ cay nhẹ trong rất nhiều tinh dầu gia vị. Hợp chất ổn định hơn α-pinene và ít có khuynh hướng oxi hoá.
Sabinene contributes a soft peppery-wood character to many spice oils. It is more stable than α-pinene and less prone to oxidation.
