Bán mãn tính. Liều gavage 8.4 mg/kg/ngày trong 28 ngày trên chuột cái giảm trọng lượng não tuyệt đối và tỷ lệ não/cơ thể, buồng trứng/cơ thể, nhưng không có thay đổi lâm sàng đi kèm.

Chống ung thư. Hợp chất ức chế tăng trưởng tế bào ung thư melanoma C32 và ung thư biểu mô thận ACHN với IC50 44.36 và 41.06 μg/mL.

α-Cedrol is an important sesquiterpene alcohol of Virginian, Texan and Himalayan cedarwood and cypress oils.

Skin. An 8 percent patch test on 25 volunteers caused no irritation or sensitization.

Oral and dermal. Rabbit dermal LD50 exceeds 5 g/kg.

Subchronic. Gavage at 8.4 mg/kg/day for 28 days in female rats reduced absolute brain weight and brain-to-body and ovary-to-body ratios, without associated clinical changes.

Anticancer. The compound inhibits growth of C32 melanoma and ACHN renal carcinoma cells with IC50 of 44.36 and 41.06 μg/mL.
