Lịch sử / History

Methyl dihydrojasmonate được Edouard Demole tại Firmenich mô tả và tổng hợp từ cuối thập niên 1950 đến 1962, trong nghiên cứu về methyl jasmonate của hoa nhài. Hedione là tên thương mại của Firmenich.

Eau Sauvage của Christian Dior (1966, Edmond Roudnitska) thường được nhắc là nước hoa thương mại đầu tiên dùng Hedione ở mức đáng kể. Hedione HC là dạng giàu đồng phân cis, mạnh hơn rõ rệt.

Methyl dihydrojasmonate was characterised and synthesised by Edouard Demole at Firmenich between the late 1950s and 1962, during work on the methyl jasmonate of jasmine. Hedione is Firmenich's trade name.

Christian Dior's Eau Sauvage (1966, Edmond Roudnitska) is usually cited as the first commercial perfume to use Hedione at a significant level. Hedione HC is the cis-enriched grade and is markedly stronger.
