Piper cubeba là cây leo nhiệt đới châu Á (Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Ấn Độ). Quả nhỏ giống quả tiêu nhưng có 'đuôi' nhỏ, đây là cuống quả còn lại.
Trong y học truyền thống được dùng cho viêm đường tiết niệu và bệnh hoa liễu. Trong perfumery, cubeb cho ghi chú pepper khô, mát.
Họ Piperaceae. Cùng họ với hồ tiêu (Piper nigrum) và betel.
Piper cubeba is a tropical Asian climbing vine (Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India). The small fruits resemble peppercorns but carry a small 'tail', the remaining stalk.
In traditional medicine used for urinary tract inflammation and venereal disease. In perfumery, cubeb provides a dry, cool pepper note.
Family Piperaceae. Same family as black pepper (Piper nigrum) and betel.
