Foeniculum vulgare subsp. capillaceum

Chống chỉ định toàn diện: mang thai, cho con bú, lạc nội mạc tử cung, ung thư phụ thuộc estrogen, trẻ dưới 5 tuổi.
Đường uống: thận trọng với thuốc tiểu đường, thuốc chống đông, trước phẫu thuật lớn, loét dạ dày tá tràng, máu khó đông.
Liều uống tối đa người lớn 54 mg mỗi ngày. Nồng độ tối đa trên da 1.8 phần trăm.
Cơ sở: 6.5 phần trăm estragole, với ngưỡng oral 0.05 mg trên kg và dermal 0.12 phần trăm.
Đã có ca bốn bé gái 5 tháng đến 5 tuổi phát triển ngực sớm sau khi uống trà hạt fennel hàng ngày vài tháng. Mức estradiol cao gấp 15 đến 20 lần bình thường. Triệu chứng biến mất sau khi dừng trà 3 đến 6 tháng.
Drug interactions. Reproductive hormone modulation. Potentially carcinogenic based on estragole content. May inhibit blood clotting. Skin sensitization if oxidized.
Broad contraindications: pregnancy, breastfeeding, endometriosis, estrogen-dependent cancers, children under 5 years.
Oral: caution with diabetes medication, anticoagulants, before major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophilia.
Maximum adult oral dose 54 mg daily. Maximum dermal use level 1.8 percent.
Basis: 6.5 percent estragole, with oral limit 0.05 mg per kg and dermal 0.12 percent.
Four girls aged 5 months to 5 years presented with premature breast development after several months of daily fennel seed tea. Estradiol levels were 15 to 20 times normal. Symptoms resolved 3 to 6 months after stopping the tea.

Foeniculum vulgare subsp. capillaceum là fennel đắng, biến thể với hàm lượng fenchone cao và đắng hơn fennel ngọt thông thường.
European Pharmacopoeia chuẩn quy định bitter fennel oil phải chứa trên 60 phần trăm (E)-anethole, trên 15 phần trăm fenchone, dưới 5 phần trăm estragole.
Họ Apiaceae. Khác với sweet fennel (cùng loài Foeniculum vulgare), bitter có fenchone cao hơn nhiều, vị đắng đặc trưng.
Foeniculum vulgare subsp. capillaceum is bitter fennel, the variety with high fenchone and a pronounced bitterness compared with ordinary sweet fennel.
The European Pharmacopoeia standard requires bitter fennel oil to contain over 60 percent (E)-anethole, over 15 percent fenchone, less than 5 percent estragole.
Family Apiaceae. Distinct from sweet fennel (same species Foeniculum vulgare), bitter has much higher fenchone and a characteristic bitter taste.
