Cuminum cyminum là cây thảo một năm vùng đông Địa Trung Hải. Hạt cumin là gia vị thiết yếu trong ẩm thực Trung Đông, Ấn Độ, Mexico.
Tinh dầu cất hơi từ hạt. Sản xuất tại Ai Cập, Iran, Ấn Độ, Syria.
Họ Apiaceae. Cumin oil có tính phototoxic, bất thường so với hầu hết tinh dầu hạt; đây là rủi ro cần lưu ý.
Cuminum cyminum is an annual herb of the eastern Mediterranean. Cumin seed is an essential spice in Middle Eastern, Indian and Mexican cuisines.
The oil is steam-distilled from the seeds. Produced in Egypt, Iran, India, Syria.
Family Apiaceae. Cumin oil is phototoxic, unusual for a seed oil; the risk must be noted.
