Tránh dùng trên mặt và đường hô hấp gần mũi của trẻ em.
Khác hoàn toàn với lavender thật (Lavandula angustifolia), chemistry và an toàn ngược lại.
Contains camphor and fenchone up to 60 percent combined. Neurotoxic, especially in children.
Contraindicated in pregnancy, breastfeeding, children under 6, and individuals with a history of epilepsy.
Avoid application near the face and respiratory pathways of children.
Markedly different from true lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), chemistry and safety profile are opposite.

Lavandula stoechas có hoa hình thoi với 'lá cờ' (bracts) màu tím trên đỉnh, đặc trưng dễ nhận.
Mọc hoang Tây Ban Nha, Bồ Đào Nha, Pháp miền Nam, Bắc Phi, một phần Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ.

Lavandula stoechas has spike-shaped flowers with purple bract 'flags' on top, easily recognizable.
Grows wild in Spain, Portugal, southern France, North Africa, and parts of Turkey.

Also called 'butterfly lavender' for the flower shape. The name 'French lavender' is sometimes misapplied, true French lavender is Lavandula × intermedia (lavandin) or Lavandula angustifolia grown in France.
