Đường uống: thận trọng với thuốc điều trị tiểu đường, fenugreek oil cải thiện dung nạp glucose ở chuột thí nghiệm tiểu đường, có thể gây hạ đường huyết quá mức khi kết hợp với thuốc.
Có GRAS status. Không kích ứng hay nhạy ứng ở liều thử nghiệm 2 phần trăm absolute.
Absolute thực tế là một resinoid, chiết xuất bằng cồn hoặc cồn nước. CO2 extract cũng được sản xuất từ hạt.
Drug interactions.
Oral: caution with diabetes medication, fenugreek oil improves glucose tolerance in diabetic rats, may cause excessive hypoglycemia combined with medication.
GRAS status. No irritation or sensitization at 2 percent absolute test level.
The 'absolute' is more properly a resinoid, extracted with alcohol or aqueous alcohol. CO2 extracts are also produced from the seeds.

Trigonella foenum-graecum là cây thảo một năm vùng Địa Trung Hải và Trung Đông. Hạt khô là gia vị quan trọng trong ẩm thực Ấn Độ, Trung Đông, Bắc Phi.
Tinh dầu cất từ hạt rất hiếm, phần lớn 'fenugreek oil' thương mại là resinoid/absolute hoặc CO2 extract.
Họ Fabaceae. Cùng họ với cá đậu và clover.
Trigonella foenum-graecum is an annual herb of the Mediterranean and Middle East. The dried seeds are an important spice in Indian, Middle Eastern and North African cuisines.
The steam-distilled seed oil is rare, most commercial 'fenugreek oil' is a resinoid/absolute or CO2 extract.
Family Fabaceae. Same family as legumes and clover.
