Pandanus fascicularis là cây dứa dại nhiệt đới, không nhầm với dứa quả (Ananas comosus). Hoa thơm đậm đặc trưng. Tinh dầu cất hơi từ hoa.
Sản xuất chủ yếu tại Odisha, Ấn Độ. Sản lượng giới hạn, tinh dầu rất đắt.
Họ Pandanaceae. Lá pandan (cùng họ, khác loài, Pandanus amaryllifolius) được dùng làm gia vị xanh trong ẩm thực Đông Nam Á.
Pandanus fascicularis is a tropical screwpine, not to be confused with the pineapple (Ananas comosus). The flowers carry a distinctively deep aroma. The oil is steam-distilled from the flowers.
Mainly produced in Odisha, India. Limited production, the oil is very expensive.
Family Pandanaceae. Pandan leaves (same family, different species, Pandanus amaryllifolius) are used as a green flavoring in Southeast Asian cuisine.
