Cymbopogon martinii var. sofia là biến thể của cùng loài cho palmarosa oil (var. motia), nhưng var. sofia có chemistry khác hẳn, menthadienol-rich thay vì geraniol-rich.

Họ Poaceae. Cùng họ và chi với palmarosa, lemongrass, citronella, cymbopogon Java type.
Cymbopogon martinii var. sofia is a variety of the same species that gives palmarosa oil (var. motia), but with markedly different chemistry, menthadienol-rich rather than geraniol-rich.
The oil is steam-distilled from the leaves. Produced in India.
Family Poaceae. Same family and genus as palmarosa, lemongrass, citronella, Java-type Cymbopogon.
