Hoa cam chanh trắng, ngọt, mật nhẹ. Nét vỏ bưởi xanh và lá. Tươi hơn neroli, ít nét đắng.
White citrus blossom, sweet with light honey. Green pomelo peel and leaf facets. Fresher than neroli, less bitter.
Hoa bưởi absolute không có tiêu chuẩn riêng trong IFRA Standards sửa đổi lần thứ 51. Tiêu chuẩn IFRA về furocoumarin áp dụng cho tinh dầu cam chanh; hàm lượng furocoumarin của absolute hoa bưởi cần được nhà cung cấp xác nhận.
Quy định EU 2023/1545 liệt kê tinh dầu hoa của Citrus aurantium, không liệt kê Citrus maxima. Linalool và limonene, nếu có, nằm trong danh mục chất gây dị ứng và phải ghi nhãn khi vượt 0.001 phần trăm trong sản phẩm lưu trên da hoặc 0.01 phần trăm trong sản phẩm rửa trôi.

Pomelo flower absolute has no dedicated standard in the 51st Amendment of the IFRA Standards. The IFRA furocoumarin standard applies to citrus oils; the furocoumarin content of pomelo flower absolute should be confirmed by the supplier.
EU Regulation 2023/1545 lists Citrus aurantium flower oil, not Citrus maxima. Linalool and limonene, where present, are listed allergens and must be labelled above 0.001 percent in leave-on or 0.01 percent in rinse-off products.

Citrus maxima là loài cam chanh có quả lớn nhất, bản địa Đông Nam Á và miền nam Trung Quốc. Bưởi chùm (grapefruit) là con lai của bưởi và cam. Ở miền bắc Việt Nam, hoa bưởi nở vào cuối đông và đầu xuân, trắng, cánh dày, mùi mạnh.
Ở Hà Nội và đồng bằng Bắc Bộ, hoa bưởi được dùng để ướp hương cho chè và bánh, và được cất để lấy nước hoa bưởi. Đây là cách dùng phổ biến trong đời sống, không phải sản xuất công nghiệp.
Absolute hoa bưởi được làm bằng chiết hoa với dung môi thành concrete, rồi rửa bằng ethanol, làm lạnh, lọc và cất loại cồn. Nguồn absolute thương mại chưa được xác nhận. Trên thị trường quốc tế, tên pomelo flower đôi khi gắn với các base tổng hợp.
Số liệu thành phần công bố riêng cho hoa bưởi ít so với hoa cam đắng. Vì vậy trang này không liệt kê thành tố cụ thể.
Trong perfumery, hoa bưởi cho nét hoa cam chanh trắng tươi, gần neroli nhưng ít đắng hơn. Nó hợp với cologne, bó hoa trắng và các cấu trúc trà.
Citrus maxima is the citrus with the largest fruit, native to South-East Asia and southern China. Grapefruit is a hybrid of pomelo and orange. In northern Vietnam, pomelo trees flower in late winter and early spring, with white, thick-petalled, strongly scented blossoms.
In Hanoi and the Red River Delta, pomelo flowers scent sweet soups and cakes and are distilled for pomelo flower water. This is household practice, not industrial production.
Pomelo flower absolute is made by extracting the flowers with a solvent to a concrete, then washing with ethanol, chilling, filtering and removing the alcohol. A commercial absolute source has not been confirmed. On the international market, the name pomelo flower is sometimes attached to synthetic bases.
Published composition data for pomelo blossom are scarce compared with bitter orange blossom. This page therefore lists no specific constituents.
In perfumery, pomelo flower gives a fresh white citrus blossom note, close to neroli but less bitter. It suits colognes, white bouquets and tea accords.
