Lịch sử / History

4-Ethylguaiacol hình thành khi lignin trong gỗ bị nhiệt phân và khi nấm men Brettanomyces chuyển hoá acid ferulic trong rượu vang. Chất này góp phần tạo mùi khói của thực phẩm xông khói.

4-Ethylguaiacol forms when wood lignin is pyrolysed and when Brettanomyces yeast converts ferulic acid in wine. It contributes to the smoky odor of smoked foods.

Trong nước hoa / In perfumery

Trong nước hoa, 4-ethylguaiacol dùng ở vết để tạo sắc khói, da thuộc và đinh hương.

In fragrance, 4-ethylguaiacol is used in traces for smoky, leathery and clove-like tones.
