Trimofix O được tạo khi cho trimethylcyclododecatriene phản ứng với anhydride acetic, nên là hỗn hợp sản phẩm phản ứng chứ không phải một phân tử đơn. Nguyên liệu đầu, 1,5,10-trimethyl-1,5,9-cyclododecatriene (C15H24), là trimer vòng của isoprene.

Trimofix O is made by reacting trimethylcyclododecatriene with acetic anhydride, so it is a mixture of reaction products rather than a single molecule. The starting material, 1,5,10-trimethyl-1,5,9-cyclododecatriene (C15H24), is a cyclic trimer of isoprene.
