Độc tính cấp. LD50 cấp tính trên chuột qua đường uống vượt 5 g/kg. LD50 cấp tính qua da trên thỏ vượt 5 g/kg. Hợp chất an toàn cho người ở mức sử dụng thông thường.
Longifolene is a sesquiterpene occurring at low levels in some pine and black seed oils.
Skin. Undiluted longifolene produced slight to moderate edema and erythema in rabbits under 24-hour occlusion. Tested at 10 percent on human volunteers, it was non-irritating and non-sensitizing.
Acute toxicity. Acute oral LD50 in rats exceeded 5 g/kg. Acute dermal LD50 in rabbits exceeded 5 g/kg. The compound is safe for humans at standard use levels.
