Guaiol là sesquiterpene alcohol kết tinh, cấu tử chính của tinh dầu gỗ guaiac (Bulnesia sarmientoi). Chất này cũng có trong gỗ thông Callitris và một số loài khác.

Guaiol is a crystalline sesquiterpene alcohol and a main constituent of guaiacwood oil (Bulnesia sarmientoi). It also occurs in Callitris pine wood and other species.

Trong nước hoa / In perfumery

Guaiol đóng vai trò là cấu tử của tinh dầu guaiac; ở dạng tinh khiết, chất này được acetyl hoá thành guaiyl acetate.

Guaiol matters as a constituent of guaiacwood oil; in pure form it is acetylated to guaiyl acetate.
