Syringol forms when the lignin of hardwoods is pyrolysed and is one of the main components of wood smoke odor.

Trong nước hoa / In perfumery

Syringol dùng ở vết để tạo sắc khói trong accord da, thuốc lá và gỗ cháy, cũng như trong hương vị xông khói.

Syringol is used in traces for smoky tones in leather, tobacco and burnt wood accords, and in smoke flavors.
