(E)-Geranyl formate là ester formate của geraniol, xuất hiện chủ yếu trong tinh dầu phong lữ.

Trên da. Patch test ở 2 phần trăm trên 25 tình nguyện viên gây kích ứng nhẹ nhưng không mẫn cảm. Bôi nguyên chất trên da thỏ trong 24 giờ không gây kích ứng. Trên chuột lang ở 20 phần trăm trong Draize sửa đổi không gây mẫn cảm.

Đường uống và da. LD50 cấp tính qua đường uống trên chuột vượt 6 g/kg. LD50 trên thỏ qua da vượt 5 g/kg.

(E)-Geranyl formate is the formate ester of geraniol, occurring mainly in geranium oil.

Skin. A 2 percent patch test on 25 volunteers produced mild irritation but no sensitization. Applied undiluted to rabbit skin for 24 hours, it was non-irritating. In guinea pigs at 20 percent in a modified Draize, it was non-sensitizing.

Oral and dermal. Acute oral LD50 in rats exceeds 6 g/kg. Acute dermal LD50 in rabbits exceeds 5 g/kg.
