The damascones belong to the "rose ketones", structurally close to the ionones. They are linked to research on the odor of Bulgarian rose oil.

Quy định (EU) 2023/1545 bổ sung yêu cầu ghi nhãn "Rose Ketones" khi vượt 0.001 phần trăm (lưu trên da) và 0.01 phần trăm (rửa trôi). Hạn chuyển tiếp: đưa ra thị trường đến 31/7/2026, lưu hành đến 31/7/2028. Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 added labelling as "Rose Ketones" above 0.001% (leave-on) and 0.01% (rinse-off). Transition: placing on the market until 31 July 2026, making available until 31 July 2028.
