β-Cedrene chia sẻ hồ sơ độc tính với α-cedrene. Cedrene (không xác định đồng phân) khi tiêm phúc mạc, uống hoặc hít đều cảm ứng đáng kể CYP và ethylmorphine N-demethylase, có khả năng tương tác với thuốc opioid.
Liều uống 200 mg/kg/ngày trong ba ngày tăng chuyển hoá ethylmorphine 160 phần trăm và CYP 40 phần trăm. Hít 60 mg/kg/ngày trong 2–6 ngày tăng EMND 180 phần trăm.
Dữ liệu trực tiếp về độc tính cấp và mẫn cảm da còn thưa, nhưng cấu trúc tương tự α-cedrene không cảnh báo rủi ro đáng kể.
β-Cedrene shares its toxicity profile with α-cedrene. Cedrene (unspecified isomer) by intraperitoneal, oral or inhalation routes significantly induces CYP and ethylmorphine N-demethylase, with potential to interact with opioids.
Oral 200 mg/kg/day for three days increased ethylmorphine metabolism by 160 percent and CYP by 40 percent. Inhalation 60 mg/kg/day for 2–6 days raised EMND by 180 percent.
Direct acute toxicity and skin sensitization data are sparse, but structural similarity to α-cedrene does not raise specific safety flags.
