Velvione is a 16-membered ring ketone with one double bond, part of the newer generation of macrocyclic ketone musks. The name reflects the smooth, soft texture its maker aimed for.

Velvione dùng để tạo độ mịn và độ ấm cho phần đáy, hợp với accord hoa phấn và gỗ. Chất này có thể thay phần nào cho các musk có sắc hạt ambrette.

Velvione is used to add smoothness and warmth to the base and suits powdery floral and woody accords. It can partly stand in for musks with an ambrette-seed character.
