γ-Terpinyl acetate là đồng phân thiểu số của terpinyl acetate. Dữ liệu hạn chế nhưng hồ sơ độc tính hỗn hợp đồng phân cho thấy hợp chất an toàn ở nồng độ thông thường.
Trên da. Ở 5 phần trăm trên 25 tình nguyện không kích ứng và không gây mẫn cảm. Trên 179 bệnh nhân viêm da nghi dị ứng mỹ phẩm và 100 bệnh nhân khác cho thấy không có phản ứng ở các điều kiện thử nghiệm tương ứng.
Đường uống. LD50 cấp tính trên chuột 5.1 g/kg cho hỗn hợp đồng phân.
Bán mãn tính. Cho chuột ăn 1.000, 2.500 hoặc 10.000 ppm trong 20 tuần không có tác dụng phụ.

γ-Terpinyl acetate is a minor isomer of terpinyl acetate. Data are limited but the mixed isomer toxicity profile indicates safety at standard concentrations.
Skin. At 5 percent on 25 volunteers it was neither irritating nor sensitizing. Testing on 179 dermatitis patients suspected of cosmetic allergy and 100 other patients showed no reactions at the respective test conditions.
Oral. Acute oral LD50 in rats was 5.1 g/kg for the mixed isomer.
Subchronic. Rats fed 1,000, 2,500 or 10,000 ppm for 20 weeks showed no adverse effects.
Inhalation. Chronic terpinyl acetate vapor inhalation in animals causes changes in the central nervous system, blood and liver. The minimum active concentration is 10 mg/m3.

The γ isomer rarely appears in isolation. It typically co-occurs with α and β terpinyl acetate in plant essential oils.
