Okoumal là ketal dựng trên khung tetralin, gần về cấu trúc với musk đa vòng nhưng mùi nghiêng về gỗ hổ phách. Tên gọi gợi gỗ okoumé của châu Phi.

Okoumal is a ketal built on a tetralin skeleton, structurally close to the polycyclic musks but smelling of woody amber. The name recalls African okoumé wood.

Okoumal dùng để tạo độ ấm và độ sâu cho accord gỗ hổ phách và da.

Okoumal is used to add warmth and depth to woody amber and leather accords.
