Ethylene brassylate là diester vòng tạo từ acid brassylic (acid tridecanedioic) và ethylene glycol. Acid brassylic có thể lấy từ acid erucic trong dầu hạt cải hoặc crambe, nên nguyên liệu đầu có nguồn gốc thực vật.

Ethylene brassylate is a cyclic diester made from brassylic acid (tridecanedioic acid) and ethylene glycol. Brassylic acid can be obtained from erucic acid in rapeseed or crambe oil, so the starting material is plant derived.
Its low cost and high stability have made it one of the highest volume macrocyclic musks.

Ethylene brassylate is used at high levels in perfume, soap and laundry products to create a sweet musk base. It also works as a fixative for floral notes.
