Cyclohexadecanone là ketone vòng 16 cạnh no, lớn hơn cyclopentadecanone (Exaltone) một nhóm CH2. Hợp chất thuộc dãy ketone vòng lớn được nghiên cứu sau các công trình của Ružička về vòng lớn và mùi xạ.

Cyclohexadecanone is the saturated 16-membered ring ketone, one CH2 larger than cyclopentadecanone (Exaltone). It belongs to the large ring ketone series studied after Ružička's work on large rings and musk odor.

Trong nước hoa / In perfumery

Chất này dùng làm nền xạ trong nước hoa và mỹ phẩm, trong giới hạn IFRA.

It is used as a musk base in fragrance and cosmetics, within IFRA limits.
