Ambrinol là một trong các sản phẩm phân huỷ oxy hoá của ambrein trong long diên hương, bên cạnh ambroxide. Chất này góp phần tạo mặt thú và đất của long diên hương già. Ambrinol thương phẩm được tổng hợp.

Ambrinol is one of the oxidative breakdown products of ambrein in ambergris, alongside ambroxide. It contributes the animal and earthy side of aged ambergris. Commercial ambrinol is synthetic.

Trong nước hoa / In perfumery

Ambrinol dùng ở vết để tăng sắc thú và độ sâu cho accord long diên hương, hương thuốc lá và hương da.

Ambrinol is used in traces to add an animal quality and depth to ambergris, tobacco and leather accords.
