Low risk of skin irritation. Oxidation products of (+)-limonene, α-pinene and δ-3-carene may sensitize skin.
Store in dark, sealed, refrigerated container. Add an antioxidant.
At 2.5 percent on 25 volunteers caused mild irritation, notable for the low concentration. But no sensitization reactions.
Produced in large quantities, widely used in wash products and air fresheners.

Abies sibirica is a silver fir of Siberia, Mongolia, northeastern China. The most widely distributed species in the Abies family worldwide.
The oil is steam-distilled from needles and twigs. Mainly produced in Russia in large volumes for household products.
Family Pinaceae.
May be adulterated with turpentine oil or mixtures of camphene, pinene, bornyl acetate. Bornyl acetate content can reach 40 percent in genuine oil.
