Citrus unshiu is a seedless mandarin native to Japan, the name 'Satsuma' comes from the old Satsuma province. Common in Japan, Korea, and China.

Family Rutaceae.

Fresh, sweet aroma, close to mandarin but lighter and crisper. Niche for East Asian perfumery.
