Likely not hazardous in pregnancy based on data for α-pinene, 1,8-cineole and (+)-limonene.
Contains no known carcinogens. In vitro research: kanuka oil moderately cytotoxic to mouse P388 leukemia cells but more toxic to normal hepatocytes, not selective.

Kunzea ericoides is a small tree endemic to New Zealand. Maori name 'kanuka'. Oil produced in New Zealand.
Same Myrtaceae family and botanically related to manuka (Leptospermum scoparium), but the two oils differ markedly in composition.
