Very high 1,8-cineole content (88 to 92 percent), the highest among commercial eucalyptus oils.
Contraindication: do not apply to or near the face of infants and children under 10 years.
Maximum adult oral dose 600 mg daily. Maximum dermal use level 20 percent.
Due to the highest cineole content, polybractea is often used in medical applications (respiratory inhalation) where strong action is desired.

Eucalyptus polybractea is a small mallee tree of southeastern and southwestern Australia. The name 'blue mallee' reflects the powdery blue leaves.
The oil is steam-distilled from the leaves. Produced in Australia, particularly New South Wales.
