The first week after a breakup, when everything reminds you of them. Geranium and bergamot split three drops each, green rose blending with slightly tea-like peel; ylang-ylang and frankincense add sweet yellow flowers and warm resin. Good for the bedroom at night. Turn on the diffuser, tidy up one corner of your room, and call your best friend to talk.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
