Blend recipes · Stress relief

me time after 9pm

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0710

After nine at night, it's time for yourself. Three drops of bergamot open with fresh, slightly tea-like peel, ylang-ylang adds sweet yellow flowers, and frankincense lines it with deep resin. Good for the bedroom while reading, journaling, or doing slow skincare. Switch the diffuser on at nine sharp, like a small ritual that closes a long day.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Bergamot 3 · Ylang Ylang 2 · Frankincense 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use me time after 9pm in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 3 · Ylang Ylang 2 · Frankincense 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use me time after 9pm?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
