Isomenthone is a monoterpenoid ketone isomeric with menthone, occurring substantially in pennyroyal, buchu, cornmint and peppermint.
Skin. An 8 percent patch test on 25 volunteers produced neither irritation nor sensitization.
Oral and dermal. Acute dermal LD50 in rats exceeds 5 g/kg.
Antioxidant. Significant radical scavenging activity against DPPH and OH.
