Blend recipes · Energy & alertness
The 6:15 bus waits for no one. Twenty drops of lemon are the star, eucalyptus follows cool and airy, and cinnamon and peppermint, two drops each, add a little warmth and a little chill. Any household with someone heading to work before dawn will understand why a scent this clear is needed. This is a bottle ratio; take 5 drops each morning and run the diffuser while you get your things ready.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Cinnamon (spicy-sweet, hot and warm) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Cinnamon can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
