peppermint for a hot head

4 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-0141

When your head is overheating, you need a cool breeze. Peppermint bursts out strong and icy, eucalyptus follows airy and open, then lavender and Roman chamomile bring the feeling back to calm. The blend is fresh and clean, perfect for a home office on a hot midday or a living room in summer. Peppermint is quite strong, so use 2 drops in a small room and place the diffuser away from where you sit.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use peppermint for a hot head in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 3 · Eucalyptus 2 · Lavender 2 · Roman Chamomile 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use peppermint for a hot head?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
