cooling down after a long day

5 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-0177

Five oils at two drops each, every one adding its own touch: peppermint and eucalyptus cool and airy, lavender and Roman chamomile soft and gentle, and geranium adding a green-rose note. The scent is fresh without being icy, perfect for the living room after a scorching day. In a small room you can cut peppermint to 1 drop; turn on the diffuser while you shower so you step out into a cool room.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use cooling down after a long day in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 2 · Roman Chamomile 2 · Peppermint 2 · Eucalyptus 2 · Geranium 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for ylang ylang or rose — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: ylang ylang is rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral.
When is the best time to use cooling down after a long day?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
