no more tossing and turning

4 oils · Floral · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0033

Cedarwood and lavender share the opening, dry, clean and never harsh; then frankincense gives off a warmth like fragrant resin, and patchouli sets a deep earthy note at the bottom. This rustic blend suits nights when you lie there forever and your body just won't settle. Try pairing it with some slow breathing, in for 4 counts and out for 6 counts, while the diffuser is running.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Cedarwood 2 · Lavender 2 · Frankincense 1 · Patchouli 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Cedarwood 2 · Lavender 2 · Frankincense 1 · Patchouli 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cedarwood 10 · Lavender 10 · Frankincense 5 · Patchouli 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use no more tossing and turning in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 2 · Lavender 2 · Frankincense 1 · Patchouli 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or cypress — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use no more tossing and turning?
Run the diffuser for 20–30 minutes before bed with the door closed, then switch it off or set a timer when you get into bed.
