Blend recipes · Energy & alertness
Sweet orange and cedarwood share the lead: one cheerful and fresh, the other clean and dry-woody. Lavender weaves in between to round things out, then patchouli and frankincense lay a warm, earthy base that helps the scent last. This layered blend suits a big living room when the whole family is cleaning up on the weekend. It's a premix recipe; use 6 to 8 drops at a time, and shake the bottle first since patchouli is quite thick.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
