Citronella and cypress share the opening: bold grass wrapped in green needles. Eucalyptus and pine follow, cool and resinous, so the scent melts right into the mountain air. Take it trekking or on overnight tent trips. Put a few drops on the tent zipper, bug netting and your hood, but not on your sleeping bag, since essential oils can leave marks.

On opening. Citronella (strong, green and slightly lemony); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood); pine (green and resinous, like a forest walk) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
