windows wide open

3 oils · Herbal · Woody · code BL-2122

Throw the windows wide open and let the forest scent pour into the room. Eucalyptus leads, crisp and cool, pine brings fresh resin, and cypress closes green and airy like leaves after rain. Great for early mornings while you change the sheets, do some light exercise or brew coffee. Running the diffuser for about 15 minutes with the windows open is enough to change the air.

How it unfolds

On opening. Eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Pine (green and resinous, like a forest walk); cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Eucalyptus 4 · Pine 2 · Cypress 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Eucalyptus 2 · Pine 1 · Cypress 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Eucalyptus 15 · Pine 8 · Cypress 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use windows wide open in a diffuser?
Add Eucalyptus 4 · Pine 2 · Cypress 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of eucalyptus?
Swap eucalyptus for rosemary or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use windows wide open?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
