A hammock strung under the eaves, a breeze from the rice fields and the familiar whine of mosquitoes at dusk. Citronella and lemongrass smell just like the lemongrass clump out back, lavender softens, and eucalyptus adds a coolness like leaves by the pond. Good for porches and open living rooms. Put a few drops on a cloth tied to the hammock end, or run a battery diffuser underneath.

On opening. Citronella (strong, green and slightly lemony); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
