Blend recipes · Energy & alertness
An early morning ride, the sky still misty and your eyes not quite open. Eucalyptus and frankincense, two drops each, make a pair of airy coolness and warm resin, while lemon and sweet orange, one drop each, add brightness. Drip it onto a wooden block or diffuser stone to take along, or run it in your room while you pack. On long trips, take a few breaths each time the bus stops for a break.

On opening. Eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
